Ravens,
We hope that this email finds you well. We wanted to let you know how proud we are of the persistence and resilience that our students and community have shown in this last semester with distance learning. We appreciate the work that you have put in to navigating this difficult situation. At no other time have we needed to lean on each other more than we have in the last year. We are ONE iTech and we will make it through this together.
We also wanted to give you an update on things as we close Semester 1 and begin Semester 2.
Grade Reporting S1:
We have wrapped up semester 1 and you can expect to see final grades posted in Skyward by the end of the week. Report cards will be distributed after Feb 9th.
Return to Hybrid In-person Learning:
In line with the Dec 15th guidance from the Washington Department of Health, Governor Inslee and OSPI, Vancouver Public Schools has developed a Hybrid learning draft plan for middle and high school that was shared with the school board last week. The timing of the transition is dependent on COVID-19 case rates in Clark County.
Per the district plan, this means for us at iTech is that our 6th graders could return to Hybrid In-person learning as early as February 16th and our 7-8th graders could return as early as February 22nd. 9-12 students could return as early as March. Again this is dependent on the case rates. More information can be found on the district web page Hybrid learning plans for middle and high schools.
6th-8th grade parents, expect to see a survey from the district tomorrow, February 2nd. You will need to complete it by February 7th. 9th-12th grade parents can expect a survey at a later date.
We will have a parent information night on February 9th at 6:00 to present information and answer questions. We will also record this session for those that can’t make it. A link will be coming soon.
Again, we want to thank you for all of your effort and flexibility over the past year. We have never been more proud of our community than we are now.
GO RAVENS!
