iTech’s iPrize innovation competition where high school students pitch ideas to a panel of local business leaders in the chance to win a cash prize. Every other year iTech hosts this project and gives students the opportunity to imagine a way to innovate and inspire some change for the world. This school year iPrize will happen in our new building. iPrize is an interdisciplinary project between Ms. Kuna’s Communications course, Mr. Wyckoff’s Visual Art and Design II course and Mr. Myers & Mr. Hurst’s Pre-Engineering & Design course. Students brainstorm a product and visually communicate it then put together a speech to as a product pitch of their idea and how it will make a positive difference in our world. Students begin early in the school year sometimes December or January, then the final competition will be held late Spring.
