Raven students and families,
Wow, what a year. As we near the last day of school it is amazing to reflect back on all that has happened this year. Preparing for and undergoing a major move and learning to do distance learning during a pandemic among others. It has not been a “normal” year to say the least. What stands out to me the most though is how amazing our staff, students and community have been and are. I was amazed, inspired, and humbled by the flexibility and dedication that everyone showed to meet and take advantage of all that we faced this year. iTech is a truly special place and that is because of the staff, students, and families that call iTech home. We believe in a common mission and solve problems together and we are here for each other. So I wanted to thank you for all that you have done and continue to do for our students and school. It is truly an honor to be able to serve as your principal and there is not a community that I would rather face these challenges with.
Now it is time for a well-deserved break! (More on that to come…)
We wanted to leave you with a few pieces of information/action items:
- As we end the school year we realize that students may continue to need support. Our counselors suggest this as a resource for families.
- Students that are remaining at iTech will keep their laptops through the summer. A letter with additional information is here.
- As with all situations we hope to reflect and learn from this distance learning period. Please take a moment to fill out this survey to let us know about your experience with distance learning.
We also wanted to let you know that ASB will be hosting a virtual end of year celebration at 3:30 Friday, June 19th. Information on viewing the celebration will be coming through Canvas!
Finally, students you have worked very hard this year….because of that I am giving you the summer off! Have a GREAT summer Ravens!
