Students, Parents, and Community Members,
At Vancouver iTech Preparatory, we believe in educating the whole student and creating unique learning experiences for our students. As our staff has collaborated to create blended projects at both the middle and high school levels, we came across some common themes. Out of this process came a chance to bring together our entire school for a unique and exciting event.
On Friday, April 28th, iTech is sponsoring “Voices Not Forgotten” from 9:35 am – 11:30 am. This event will feature a panel of guest speakers that will share their experiences from World War II with our students and community. Guests will share how they lived through their imprisonment in American concentration camps due to President Roosevelt’s Executive Order 9066. The other guests will share their stories as they survived in Europe during the Holocaust and the reign of Adolf Hitler.
These stories from our past are being integrated into projects at our school and will enhance the iTech learning experience. This event is important to us at iTech and we realize that learning experiences like this do not happen very often. That is why we want to invite you, our community, in as well to experience this incredible event. If you would like to attend, please fill out this Google Form @ bit.ly/3M0LQNM. Once you have filled it out, Mr. Zingale will email more information as the date approaches.
A huge thank you goes to the Japanese American Museum of Oregon and The Oregon Jewish Museum and Center for Holocaust Education. Their dedication to awareness and education is what makes this event possible.

Estudiantes, padres y miembros de la comunidad, En Vancouver iTech Preparatory, creemos en educar al estudiante en su totalidad y crear experiencias de aprendizaje únicas para nuestros estudiantes. Como nuestro personal ha colaborado para crear proyectos mixtos en los niveles de secundaria y preparatoria, nos encontramos con algunos temas comunes. De este proceso surgió la oportunidad de reunir a toda nuestra escuela para un evento único y emocionante. El viernes 28 de abril, iTech patrocinará "Voices Not Forgotten" de 9:35 am a 11:30 am. Este evento contará con un panel de oradores invitados que compartirán sus experiencias de la Segunda Guerra Mundial con nuestros estudiantes y la comunidad. Los invitados compartirán cómo vivieron su encarcelamiento en los campos de concentración estadounidenses debido a la Orden Ejecutiva 9066 del presidente Roosevelt. Los otros invitados compartirán sus historias sobre cómo sobrevivieron en Europa durante el Holocausto y el reinado de Adolf Hitler. Estas historias de nuestro pasado se están integrando en proyectos en nuestra escuela y mejorarán la experiencia de aprendizaje de iTech. Учащиеся, родители и члены сообщества, В Vancouver iTech Preparatory мы верим в необходимость обучения всех учащихся и создания уникального опыта обучения для наших студентов.
