On Wednesday, October 11 2017 at 9:35 am, iTech Preparatory will administer the PSAT/NMSQT free of charge to all 10th and 11th grade students. 9th grade students can complete the PSAT 8/9 for a $10 fee. Both the PSAT/NMSQT and the PSAT 8/9 will be administered on campus during the regular school day.

10th and 11th grade students do not need to take any action.

9th grade students who would like to complete the PSAT 8/9 should bring in $10 (exact cash or check only) to Rhonda at the high school main office by 4pm on Wednesday, September 20.

The PSAT/NMSQT is the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. Students use the PSAT and PSAT 8/9 as practice for the SAT or ACT. The SAT and ACT are standardized admission tests widely used for college admissions in the United States. Students’ PSAT and PSAT 8/9 score is an important guidepost on their career/college readiness journey. They show what they’re doing well, and what they should work on to get ready for the SAT/ACT—and for college. The PSAT and PSAT 8/9 won’t count towards students’ college admissions applications, but it is the qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship for 11th grade students.
