Your school is invited to participate in a tour of Boeing Portland! The tour is targeted to students aged 15 years and older who are interested in learning more about a career in manufacturing.
CRITICAL INFORMATION FOR INSTRUCTORS, COUNSELORS AND TOUR CHAPERONES
• Tour Participants:
o Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
o Students must be 15 years of age or older.
o If you have interested students, we encourage you to contact us as soon as possible at PortlandJointPrograms@exchange.boeing.com. Spaces will fill fast.
o One adult chaperone must accompany every five students (preferably instructors or counselors; parents alternatively) in your group.
• Participant Requirements:
o Participants must register by September 30th to be eligible for the tour.
o To register, email the following information for each participant to PortlandJointPrograms@exchange.boeing.com:
Full legal name (first, middle, last)
Month and year of birth only (e.g., September 1996)
Confirmation a U.S. Person (see definition below)
o Boeing Security requires all participants be *U.S. Persons.
*A U.S. Person is either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, permanent resident alien (green card holder), alien admitted to U.S. as refugee, alien granted asylum in U.S. or special agricultural worker amnesty applicant AND is not affiliated with a company incorporated outside the U.S., a foreign government entity, or a foreign organization. Please contact Boeing Security (503-676-1800) if clarification is necessary.
o Photo identification for entry the day of the tour (e.g., student body card, driver license, state-issued ID card).
• Logistics:
o Students/chaperones must provide their own transportation.
o Students/chaperones must wear closed toe shoes.
o Cell phones can be on the property, but photography is not allowed. For safety reasons, phoning or texting is not allowed during the shop tour.
o Safety glasses, reflective vests and hearing protection will be provided by Boeing Portland. Adherence to all safety regulations and tour guide instruction is mandatory.
